Senior Creative Copywriter/Head of Copy

We’re searching for a Head of Copy to be the trusted guardian of our new tone of voice at Jabra.

Working remotely, you’ll join an experienced brand team of around 30 people, and you’ll be managing, motivating, and leading a team of talented writers (both permanent and freelance) to bring the brand alive across all customer touchpoints.

Bringing your tech sector experience, you’ll be working closely with all sorts of stakeholders across the business – from the digital platforms team to the app team, the packaging team to the customer support team – always ensuring our words are concise and engaging. You’ll be confident in challenging the status quo, from how we tell our stories, to how we work to get things done most efficiently.

Day-to-day, you’ll work very closely with our Brand Director (your new boss), to continue to develop and embed our new tone of voice for both B2B and B2C audiences. You’ll be setting the copy bar high, across the business, so you’ll need to be a people person who loves proactively making contacts and influencing people.

If you weren’t working from home, you’d be the one making friends (and uncovering nuggets of information) by the coffee machine.  This newly created position is an opportunity to flex those influencing muscles. You’ll also work as a collaborative partner with our Creative Director, playing a key role in developing and co-creating beautifully crafted stories that help to capture our customers’ hearts and strengthen our brand.

…Every day will be different. You can be doing anything from developing the lead campaign idea, writing scripts, storyboarding, to proofreading the work to ensure everything is approved before launch. And that’s just for starters. We can’t wait to see what you’ll bring to the role.   

What will you be doing?

  • Auditing the tone of voice across the business
  • Working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders locally and globally putting in plans to improve and govern the tone
  • Growing and evaluating team members and freelancers to craft and deliver exceptional storytelling
  • Managing the freelance roster, adding talent, negotiating rates and onboarding
  • Managing and delegating all B2B and B2C copy requirements
  • Co-creating concepts and copy direction of brand comms and campaigns
  • Developing customized messaging strategies and tailoring copy to different audiences
  • Copywriting for product launches including online content, email campaigns, print, social campaigns, video scripts and events.
  • Researching and developing copywriting best practices and ensuring we are crafting the right style of copy for each specific customer touchpoint, for example email subject lines and CTAs
  • Ensuring our customers understand and love our content

  • You love it all - digital, print, social, video
  • You are full of creative ideas and enjoy doing presentations, you know how to sell an idea
  • You are a native English speaker (we write in US English)
  • You are a fully committed, dedicated team player, who enjoys working with lots of different people  

The location
Your couch, the local coffee shop, the treehouse at the bottom of your garden (basically, wherever you and your laptop are). Flexible working is kind of our thing, we trust our people to get the job done. You’ll be based in the UK, but free as a bird.
