Team
As a backend developer at Actimo, you will be part of the team that develops the platform which supports the companies in engaging their employees. The work at the company is organized in cross-functional product teams and together with your teammates, you will be responsible for a part of the product/platform. This approach allows us to focus on achieving team autonomy, enabling people to grow, and fostering productivity. On top of that, implementing new features and expanding our products to support new use cases is of great importance to us and our goal is to make the customers happy.
Responsibilities
- Work with the rest of the backend people to design, build/evolve and maintain a robust, secure, and flexible global platform
- Work with the product teams to help deliver new features and innovations
- Work with the platform team to help enhance our server technologies and deployment processes
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Take care of the development process from idea to production deployment and monitoring of our platform
Requirements
- 4+ years experience as a Backend developer
- Experience with building scalable, high-performance backend services
- BSc Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Ability to lead a server-side project through the entire software lifecycle
- A commitment to high automated test coverage and clean code
- Experience with TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience with SQL (eg. MySQL)
- Experience with cloud service providers (eg. Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform)
Nice to have
- Other backend languages (Golang, Ruby, Java)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (eg. Couchbase, DynamoDB)
- OpenSearch
- Linux and shell scripting
- Git, Git flow, and code reviews
- Front-end development with React or Angular
