The position As Medical Specialist, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Novo Nordisk organisation. Although based in the Copenhagen Area, the job is globally oriented and with close interaction with colleagues in regional offices as well as external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, treating physicians and therapeutic experts. Your key responsibilities include: Analyse and communicate data Design clinical trials Ensure medically sound regulatory interactions Drive learnings one step further into implementation and simple execution We expect you to understand how to establish and maintain professional relationships. What is more, you will give oral presentations internally, externally and co-author publications. Qualifications To succeed at this role, you need to have: University degree as a Medical Doctor and have clinical practice experience Documented research experience such as a PhD and/or clinical development experience including (co)-investigator in clinical trials or relevant experience with clinical drug development from the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry Interest and experience within cardiovascular disease (clinical, research or drug development) Additionally, on a personal level you have: Excellent communication skills (proficiency in written and spoken English) Strong coordination/planning and collaborative capabilities with many different stakeholders with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds Analytical and strategic skills, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, commitment, and ability to prioritise tasks Ability to thrive in a setting with a high level of complexity and have solid problem-solving capabilities You should have a flair for building and using both internal and external network(s) and share learnings actively within the project and department. About the department Medical & Science, OSCD, and Outcomes is part of Global Development located in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark and are driving our expanding portfolio within other serious chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney disease and Alzheimer’s Disease and executing large outcomes trials. We are medically responsible for global clinical development programmes and our responsibilities include planning and execution of clinical trials (phase 1-4) and non-interventional studies, medical and scientific support to health authority interactions, publications, presentations and more.
