Senior Manager Engineering

Jabra is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to independently support the delivery of Jabra BlueParrott business results through product development and delivery, driving performance against operational objectives.

The Senior Engineering Manager manages and develops the team located in Dover NH USA, manages JDM Partners, and acts as a key leader in the Ballerup PDU leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages a team of 7 with high level of technical complexity
• Delivers programs on time to cost as committed at formal phase gates
• Collaborates cross functionally with other leaders in delivery of GN strategy and objectives
• Ensures day-to-day operation of a team of high skilled engineers and technical staff
• Leads and develops managers, team leads and direct reports
• Manages budget for Dover Jabra BlueParrott facility
• Provides timely and accurate reporting to management forums
• Develops and leads the implementation of R&D plans within area of responsibility, supporting the overall R&D strategy
• Executes functional and individual objectives of own department
• Drives the development and implementation of relevant processes ‘right sized’ for Jabra BlueParrott  
• Effectively builds trust with SVP/VPs, establishes an open and honest relationship, and ability to function as a trusted partner

Primary relations external:

• JDM partners
• Third party software developers (SDK, mobile and PC based applications)

Primary relations internal:

• As a key member of the PDU fosters cross functional collaboration, works closely on a daily basis with GPM for product definition, business communication, and risk mitigation

Location: Dover New Hampshire, USA; Geographical span: USA + Denmark

Travel: Approx. one trip per month (when external circumstances allow for it)

Requirements:

• Education at Masters level, in engineering or technical discipline or equivalent
• 10 years of relevant engineering leadership experience in the product development life cycle, ideally in consumer electronics
• Background with system software, SDK or API architectures
• Solid background in the development process and project management
