At GN Hearing, we develop innovative hearing solutions with great sound quality and excellent design to ensure that hearing aid users will be able to hear more, do more, and be more.

As a key member of the Operating Systems group, you will work on exciting projects and cutting-edge technologies, where you will make a real impact in the development of innovative products. You will be part of GN Hearing’s Operating Systems group in our Platform Development organization at our global HQ in Ballerup, Denmark and report to the Head of Operating Systems.

What will you be doing?

Applying your specialist and detailed technical expertise, you will be accountable for the software architecture for one or more embedded platforms. This includes:

• Set the direction for the embedded software architecture for our embedded platforms and help guiding the software developers to build the SW platforms in the most feasible steps and increments.

• Identify and describe embedded software architectural tasks and facilitate architectural breakdown of systems into SW components/items and SW modules/units.

• Drive documentation of SW architecture and interfaces

• Collaborate with both internal colleagues and external partners on SW architecture.

• Do actual Software Development tasks, like SW design, implementation, and test tasks, when relevant.

Sound good so far? Here’s what you’ll need to succeed and create results

• M.Sc. in Software Engineering or another relevant field.

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in embedded software, constrained by power consumption, MIPS, and memory, using C-programming language.

• Experience in comparable, embedded software Architect role(s).

• Experience with Software Development in a regulated environment.

• Aptitude to identify and describe architectural tasks.

• Competencies to create both overview and structure, and to dive into details, depending on the situation.

• Ability to drive SW architecture progress and follow-up with contributing colleagues.

• Aptitude to build team-spirit and getting people to collaborate in finding the best architectural solutions in a diplomatic way.

• Great communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Fluent written and spoken English skills
