Our global Group IT function of +200 employees deliver business critical applications and infrastructure for the full value chain from sales to manufacturing and distribution for the GN Group and several of our subsidiaries (GN Group cover the global scope of GN Hearing and GN Audio).
As our new Cloud Architect for our Backup & Recovery solutions, you will be based at our global HQ, located in Ballerup Denmark, and report to Head of Core Compute, Kristian Rickardt.

You will join a team of 13 devoted colleagues, as part of our Core Compute and Enterprise Platform departments within Group IT Function, who all look forward to welcoming you to the team.
Design and deliver robust solutions
You are responsible for handling, implementing, and operating the process of transitioning our existing infrastructure data back-up & disaster recovery solutions to our new Microsoft Azure and Rubrik based cloud environment in a hybrid model, as part of our global IT transformational journey.
Together with your colleagues, you will be collaborating across the organization with both technical, and non-technical stakeholders in a global agile work environment and making sure that we have best in class cloud solutions.
Specifically, your main responsibilities are:
Collaborate across the organization to develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve a comprehensive, modern hybrid infrastructure solutions that integrate on-premises and cloud-based resources, using Rubrik and Azure for backup and recovery, ensuring business continuity in the event of data loss or system failure that complies with regulatory requirements and business expectations
Defining and implementing disaster recovery strategies that meet the needs of the organization, including RTO and RPO objectives
Developing and documenting backup and recovery policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, to support IT teams and end-users regarding backup and recovery best practices and procedures
Proactively recommend design changes to new and existing applications or infrastructure to increase continuity and reliability
Promote and drive a data culture across the company to obtain factual data and information to continuously improve overall reliability and recoverability of company technology assets
Continually evaluate IT environment for new threats and gaps to continuity and recommend new countermeasures for remediation

Moreover, we imagine that you have:
A relevant higher educational background within IT, Computer Science or other relevant fields
Solid experience from a relevant IT domain area as an IT Architect, Cloud-, or Software Engineer, Tech Lead or equivalent, whereby you have experience with:
Azure hybrid infrastructure incl. Azure Stack, Azure Arc, and Azure hybrid networking
Designing and implementing data disaster recovery strategies and plans, as well as being able to conduct disaster recovery tests
Automation and scripting with PowerShell or other scripting languages
Backup and recovery processes and tools - preferably with Rubrik solutions
Project-, stakeholder-, and change management abilities with a desire to listen to others, influence your colleagues in a constructive way and can transform our way of working
A well-developed knowledge of agile methods and processes are clear advantages, but not prerequisites for the position
To be successful in your new role, it is important that you can “transform” organizational requirements into solid technical solutions. Ensuring customer satisfaction, a smooth transition and operations of our data & recovery solutions are your top priorities.
Fluent written and spoken English skills
