Welcome to Core Compute, part of Group IT

Our global Group IT function of +200 employees deliver business critical applications and infrastructure for the full value chain from sales to manufacturing and distribution for the GN Group and several of our subsidiaries (GN Group cover the global scope of GN Hearing and GN Audio).

As our new Cloud Architect for our Azure solutions, you will be based at our global HQ, located in Ballerup Denmark, and report to Head of Core Compute, Kristian Rickardt.

You will join a team of 13 devoted colleagues, as part of our Core Compute and Enterprise Platform departments within Group IT Function, who all look forward to welcoming you to the team.

Design and deliver Secure Azure solutions

You are responsible for handling and continuously developing our data security design activities for foundational cloud services - such as computing, storage, and networking - as well as the integration points with our existing Group Security services and processes - such as monitoring, alerting and incident response.

We work in a cloud environment in a hybrid model, as part of our global IT transformational journey.

Together with your colleagues, you will be collaborating across the organization with both technical, and non-technical stakeholders – incl. our CISO and our Cybersecurity Team - in a global agile work environment and making sure that we have optimum secured cloud solutions. Our global IT Security strategy is based upon a zero-trust concept, which entails that we work with several leading technologies and vendors in the field. 

Specifically, your main responsibilities are:

  • Scoping, designing, implementing, and consulting secure and compliant hybrid cloud architecture and frameworks that support us on our IT transformational journey and leveraging Azure services and infrastructure, ensuring adherence to industry standards and optimum practices

  • Ensuring that Azure solutions meet security and compliance requirements by stewarding governance policies and procedures that ensure compliance with security and compliance including monitoring, auditing, and reporting

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure, and 3rd parties, to design and deploy secure Azure infrastructure and services

  • Conducting security assessments and audits of Azure environments, identifying vulnerabilities, recommending remediation strategies, and proposing security enhancements

  • Designing and configuring Azure security services, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Centre, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Firewall, to provide effective security controls

  • Developing Azure security policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with organizational security requirements and compliance regulations

  • Consulting with security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery

  • Promote and drive a data security culture across the company

  • Continually evaluate the IT environment for new threats and gaps to continuity and recommend new countermeasures for remediation

Moreover, we imagine that you have: 

  • A relevant higher educational background within IT, Computer Science, or other relevant fields
  • Solid experience from a relevant IT domain area as an IT Architect, Cloud-, or Software Engineer, Tech Lead or equivalent, whereby you have experience with:
    • Azure hybrid infrastructure including networking, storage, and compute, and can design and implement hybrid cloud solutions that meet security and compliance requirements

    • Designing and implementing data security strategies and plans, as well as being able to conduct disaster recovery tests

    • Security and compliance frameworks, including GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, and SOX, and experience designing and implementing secure and compliant Azure solutions

    • Azure security services, including Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel and experience using these services to enhance security and compliance

    • Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools, including Azure DevOps, and experience designing and implementing secure and compliant DevOps pipelines in Azure

  • Project-, stakeholder-, and change management experience with a desire to listen to others, influence your colleagues in a constructive way and can transform our way of working
  • A well-developed knowledge of agile methods and processes are clear advantages, but not prerequisites for the position
