We at GN Hearing, part of the GN Group, care about people impacted by hearing loss and create medical-grade hearing aids and hearing solutions that aim to enhance their lives. GN Hearing enables people to Hear More, Do More and Be More through our intelligent hearing solutions.

We are building on a strong foundation of technical innovation and are on a journey to become even more customer centric. Our end-users are patients who use our hearing aids, but also healthcare providers, such as audiologists who prescribe the hearing treatment.

What will you be doing?

You will be playing an essential role in shaping the mindset of the organization by always encouraging a culture of customer-centricity. You will run your own research projects, but also coach colleagues from different fields how to be effective and objective when conducting user research. As User Research Lead you enjoy filling a significant part of your time on communicating user research insights to the rest of the organization by taking on the following key responsibilities:

  • Leading the planning and executing of user research programs, with a focus on qualitative research

  • Conducting interviews and contextual inquiries or playing a coaching role for other team members who run their own customer interviews

  • Transforming findings into actionable insights that can be directly picked up on

  • Running usability testing of software prototypes for apps and desktop applications together with our UX Designers

  • Working closely with UX and UI designers, product managers, and engineers to transform research data into delightful design solutions

  • Collaborating with colleagues from market insights, audiology and e-commerce teams to set up effective processes, consolidate customer leads and centralize insights

  • Establish new tools and processes that can make research insights available and searchable in the organization

  • Drive the legal framework of running end-user interviews

  • Drive the relationship with external agencies if needed

Sound good so far? Here’s what imagine that you’ll need to succeed and create results

  • A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Ethnography or another relevant field

  • Experience in conducting user research for software products

  • You are preferably familiar with accessibility needs that our end-users might have

  • Familiarity with the medical industry is ideal, but not required

  • Great presentation and communication skills, demonstrating a passion for diverse perspectives and collaborating with people from different backgrounds

  • Excellent networking skills and the aptitude to work in a large organization

  • Flexibility to travel to US and UK for onsite user research when needed

Fluent written and spoken English skills
