TransferMate Global Payments is a Globally Regulated, B2B Payments technology, which greatly improves the international payments process for banks, companies and both our software and strategic partners, such as Wells Fargo, AIB and ING.

TransferMate is expanding its APAC Compliance team and is searching for a Compliance Manager for our Philippines entity. As we see compliance as a competitive advantage, the successful candidate will assist in delivering expert advice to the business in maintaining a best-in-class Compliance Management Framework. If you are agile, can work independently, can influence others, and drive change across a program, then this role is for you.

Ideally, you will have experience in the regulatory requirements of the Philippines relating to payment services / e-money, have previously interacted with the Regulators, and have hands-on experience in assessing and mitigating compliance risks. This role will report to the Board of our Philippines entity as well as the Head of Regional Compliance APAC.


  • Surveying and interpreting the regulatory landscape including upcoming changes to the regulatory environment in the Philippines
  • Conducting program level benchmarking assessments, and overseeing program improvements where necessary
  • Acting as the point of escalation for regulatory matters and providing compliance advisory to the business
  • Leading regulatory examination preparation and examination processes
  • Preparing internal and external facing documentation as required
  • Updating compliance related documents as needed to reflect changes to BSP rules & regulations, industry best practices
  • Providing the wider business within Transfermate advice to achieve compliance objectives and mitigate risks
  • Approval of compliance tasks and escalations from other teams
  • Preparing compliance input into the Board
  • Compliance oversight of regulatory reporting and providing support to other team charged with regulatory reporting
  • Conducting periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance programs are in line with regulations, ensuring global-level controls are suitable for the local market
  • Establishing and fostering relationships with the business, regulators, auditors and all relevant stakeholders
  • Acting as point of contact with the Regulator in the Philippines


  • Experience in a similar compliance or risk role within a global organization, preferably in a B2B payments firm or corporate banking environment
  • Experience in dealing/liaising with financial regulatory authorities
  • Ability to understand/interpret new and existing regulatory requirements;
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of AML/CTF Framework / KYC and sanctions management experience
  • Strong understanding of financial services legislation, licensing requirements and regulatory requirements (BSP)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and comfortable in establishing relationships with different departments and stakeholders
  • Previous experience in dealing with the Regulators & Auditors
  • Attention to detail
