Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, who are a leading main contractor are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their Cork office.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Work with the Estimating Department, be involved in Pre contract meetings with the Project Team, Purchasing and the Plant Department.
• You will prepare cash flow for the project based on the Contract Programme.
• You will prepare cash flow for the project based on the Target Programme.
• Measure and re measure trade packages to identify any errors.
• Prepare Tender enquiry packages.
• Select subcontractors from existing database.
• Create and use Procurement tracker to keep a trace on the status of various packages which are out to Tender.
• Carry out a tender analysis to ensure that a compliant and fully priced tender has been returned. Review and evaluate tenders identifying any omissions, qualifications or clarification that may be included and balance all tenders to show a like for like comparison.
• Hold pre contract meetings with successful Subcontractors in conjunction with the Project Manager and issued Contract documents for signing.
• Prepare and submit valuations on a monthly basis and agree with Clients Quantity Surveyor.

Requirements

• Level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying is essential.
• A Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Have good client facing skills.
• Abiliity to work to tight deadlines and budgets.
• Experience working with a Main Contractor in Ireland or the UK.
• A strong attention to detail is necessary.
