We investigate the future

At GN Audio, we develop intelligent audio and video solutions and bring them to the market under the brand name Jabra. We operate in many business areas - from contact centers and offices, to consumers, frontline workers and gamers. To keep us ahead of the game, the Hardware Research team explores, validate and demoes new technologies and solutions, as an initial step in the development of future Jabra products – such as headsets, speakerphones and video conference equipment.

Your research is key for creating great products

As an Embedded Software Researcher, you have a passion for new technologies within areas like wireless connectivity, intelligent audio, advanced sensors, AI and machine learning etc. With your creative and practical mindset you bring new ideas and solutions to the table. By creating functional mock-ups together with our HW researchers, you demonstrate the potential of these solutions and finally bring them to a maturity-level, where our development teams can take over for product implementation.

Influence the direction of our work

As we are a small team of 4 researcher, you will play a significant part in planning your own workday. To ensure the best possible solutions, we have a high level of collaboration across the organization – for instance with hardware, software and mechanical development teams as well as product management and concepting teams – both in DK, China and US.

Are you our new colleague?

In the HW Research team we are searching for a new colleague that can master the low-level embedded software tasks inevitably linked to our HW research studies. Ideally you have:

  • a passion for new technology as that is what the work is all about.
  • a creative and idea-rich mindset since we must find new great solutions.
  • a solid experience within embedded programming in C language.
  • a good understanding of basic hardware blocks and their functionality, microcontroller and sensor interfaces and bus protocols.  
  • initiative and are self-driven, as you will be driving your own research projects.
  • presentational skills, so you can present and explain your great work to our stakeholders fluently in English.
  • a degree within engineering or similar and several years of relevant experience, e.g., within embedded software engineering.

Additionally, it is an advantage if you have experience within some of the following: HW design, Audio and video product development, ML/AI, Bluetooth systems and chipsets, PC and Smartphone application design.
