  • 2750 Ballerup, Danmark
  • 23/06/2022

Jobbeskrivelse

Join the world’s oldest start-up and turn up the volume on your career

At GN, we make life sound better, and through our Jabra brand, we are leading major technology shifts with intelligent audio solutions.

From either Ballerup or Aalborg – or even another European location – you are joining 50 highly skilled and dedicated colleagues in our fairly new Audio DSP department. We are further split into agile teams, each with max 9 developers, 1 scrum master and 1 product owner. We work with various aspects of the audio platform, including algorithms, implementation and software development.

What your colleagues say about working at Jabra:

”If you enjoy being both hands-on and also having the big, architectural overview – while working with innovative products that you can see people using every day – this is really the place to be,” says Manager Kristian Timm Andersen.

What will you be doing?

Working with highly innovative products, having a direct impact on the end-user experience, you will combine a senior hands-on developer role with an architect role. Doing so, you will be shaping the overall architecture, ensuring that the platform is designed the right way.

Right from the very early stages of the product development, your involvement allows you to influence the design of Audio DSP architectures and the processes around it.

Joining us, you will get to spend your days:

  • Designing and developing audio solutions in close collaboration with embedded software, hardware, video and UX engineers and project managers in the R&D organization
  • Working with architectural design, programming, professional guidance of the team and interfacing to other teams in the R&D organization
  • Joining the Architect Forum at Jabra, where you work on a higher, cross-department level to share knowledge and gain creative inspiration

Sound good so far? Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

A relevant degree

E.g. within electrical engineering, computer science, acoustical engineering or similar.

A proactive and flexible mindset

Going forward and keeping the overall outlook also means needing to think one step ahead – especially when it comes to technological trends – while also being flexible enough to know when to step back again.

Team player spirit

While there are plenty of opportunities for each of our team members to develop their own personal skill set, we are first and foremost a team – who performs, succeeds and fails as a team.

Solid experience with e.g. audio, video and software design

While you might not be an expert on all areas, we hope that you have solid experience from working with audio domain and perhaps also video, as well as SW design, design patterns, SW framework, DSP, embedded SW implementation and state-of-the-art SW development tools.

An interest in AI and machine learning

And if you even have some relevant experience in these areas, it is definitely an advantage.

Fluent written and spoken English skills

As an international organization with colleagues in over 50 different countries, our official company language is English. It’s essential that you can communicate effortlessly with your colleagues, no matter where they are.

The Jabra culture

The Jabra culture is upbeat and positive. We greet every day with energy and enthusiasm, bringing our best selves and approaching problem-solving and challenges with a ‘glass half full’ attitude. We’re independent, but we also know when two heads are better than one. Our leaders are supportive, our teams are tight-knit, and we believe in the power of collaboration across every level of our organization.
