Product Industrialization Manager

  • GN
  • 2750 Ballerup, Danmark
  • 22/09/2022

Welcome to one of our most cross-functional roles in FalCom and a unique role that you can pioneer and help shape. We are a friendly bunch of engineers, who have a close collaboration on exciting phases of the development of new products and some maintenance tasks related to existing products in the market.

Our new Product Industrialization Manager / New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager is responsible for managing the effective implementation and distribution of new products, manufacturing processes (DFM and DFA) and the continuous improvement work ongoing with maintaining and optimizing components in our production. Your fingerprint will be clear on handling launch aspects and verifying that quality control complies with all project requirements.

Built on 150 years of innovation – to make life sound better

FalCom is built on GN’s foundation as a global leader in intelligent audio solutions with headquarters in Ballerup. We create advanced hearing protection solutions enabling special operations, military, law enforcement and security personnel to communicate in the most extreme environments – all while providing world-class hearing protection.

Physically, we are located in Ballerup together with the rest of GN and a driver’s license is required to enable you to visit our contract manufacturer nearby on a regular basis (maybe once per week).

What we are looking for and a typical work week

We are looking for someone, who knows how to handle the NPI discipline and know how great an impact you can have on things like increasing our yield, production quality and enabling cost-down activities.

We imagine that your technical capabilities allow you to navigate in an environment with electromechanical components and that you have the interpersonal skills and structure to help mature our teams when it comes to the DFM and DFA output. One day you might be chatting with your R&D colleagues about a polymer choice, the next you might be talking to operations or sales about forecasts and finally you might end the week by visiting our contract manufacturer to evaluate the potential of optimizing our product line.

Main responsibilities summed up:

  • Enable smooth transfer from project to production
  • Increase efficiency and reliability
  • Improve manufacturing processes
  • Increase yields
  • Bridge gaps between R&D <-> Operations <-> Manufacturing partners
  • Ensure contract manufactures follow best practices and procedures

Possible qualifications

We are open to a variety of backgrounds, but hope that you bring:

  • 5+ Years of experience in product industrialization/NPI management
  • Deep understanding of the product development process lifecycle
  • Proven expertise in DFM and DFA analysis and with creating cost/benefit justified proposals for improvement
  • Ability to work cross functionally between R&D and Operations
  • Knowledge of coordinating product builds from prototypes through to mass production

What we offer

We believe we offer the benefits of a close collaborating team with high level of trust and flexibility for our coworkers. We are helpful teammates and very open with a clear dedication to making our work life as exciting, pleasant and motivating as possible.

We care about the atmosphere in the team and work hard to serve our customers.

Our workplace offers plenty of different benefits and flexibility to keep us happy and healthy and allow us to focus on what matters to us in and outside of work. We hope you are curious to explore and engage in the recruitment process with us.
